regionals ... bargain??

One of today's LOL offers on eBay is this tatty mounted selection of common regionals (yes, just the 6 3d ones) at a start price of just £5! At least the seller declares 'I no [sic] nothing about stamps'. Well. he said it!

'error' 'bargain'!!

It's very entertaining going through eBay listings and finding real howlers like these!

This supposed 'error' is obviously the result of the stamp being left in the sun so one side has completely faded. Fit only for the bin, this has the incredibly optimistic starting price of just £75!

Click the title link and you should be able to see the original listing at least for a month or so.

I'm slowly adding items to the website - all very random at the moment as I've got stuff everywhere, not particularly valuable but always in the best condition! I'm putting some mint sets on today. Everything is priced to sell of course!

10kg kiloware lots (click to buy)

Current 10kg lots going out have been stamped up with the four unique panes from the James Bond prestige booklet, plus the very rare £5 blue - these all get CDS postmarks and I've seen this sort of material (often originating from my mailouts!) go for double face or more.

One more reason to buy your kiloware from us (see the website for how to order).

What we're about - buying and selling nice material! We're particularly interested in fine used classic material that also has investment potential. This set (cat around £50) will appear on the sidebar soon at around £17.

The new mini sheet released today is the second in the country series (Scotland was issued last year). This is a very nice sheet but how much postal use is it likely to see? Like many of these mini sheet only stamps the odds are that fine used examples of both the sheet and the individual stamps will be very hard to come by. I always make a point of using these on kiloware parcels I send out, and I'm really lucky in that my village PO still uses a steel CDS handstamp for parcels - and they're happy for me to cover the stamps in plastic for protection.

At last I've nailed down a regular top quality unpicked/unsorted kiloware supplier, so on the sidebar I'll be featuring a regular stock line of GB kiloware - and as stated above I always use nice stamps to frank the parcel!

To order 10kg of this mix please click on the Paypal button on the sidebar.

Our aim is to offer the finest stamps to serious collectors and investors, with a particular emphasis on GB and Commonwealth QV-KGVI.

We have also built up a reputation as being the only dealers who offer genuine unpicked and unsorted kiloware, both GB and World. We do this in conjunction with a number of GB charities.

We are always interested in finding new genuine kiloware sources both in the UK and overseas, but only buy unpicked and unsorted material. Our buying prices are much higher than other dealers!

If you are a charity seeking new ways to easily raise funds please see our sister site kiloware central.

On the retail side we will be gradually developing this blogsite over the next few months to give collectors an interesting new way of buying their stamps, as well as the latest news and views on serious philately.
